Private Lessons
One on one private instruction is a great way to learn at an accelerated rate. The undivided attention allows students to learn concepts and techniques pertinent to their dancing at a much quicker pace. Whether you are new to social dancing or a seasoned dancer looking to add more flavor to your repertoire, it's all about you.
Private lessons are also great for students who prefer to learn at a slower pace and in their own privacy, making for a more comfortable environment. If you are generally shy or prefer not to feel like you are a slow learner when placed in a group setting where other students might be picking up techniques at a slightly faster pace, privates will allow you to feel more confident and in control.
Privates are also a great option for people with busy schedules who would prefer to take lessons at their own pace and preferable times.
Our Availability for Privates:

FAQ

How do I begin taking lessons? Is there a specific start date?
Classes are held on an ongoing basis, meaning no pre-registration or appointment is required. All new students should begin by attending our beginner lessons. If you feel like you are ready for our advanced beginner or higher level classes prior to attending, we can evaluate and further recommend the appropriate class for you.

Do I need to bring a dance partner?
No partner necessary. We always rotate partners in class as a part of the learning process. Michael Angelo also rotates with all students.

Can I attend more than one class a week?
Absolutely. The more frequently you attend, the quicker you will excel.

Will I learn something new in every class?
Yes, but keep in mind that we follow a structured syllabus. In order to advance from one technique to another, students should demonstrate proficiency in previous taught techniques.

What kind of attire should I wear?
Form fitting casual and work casual clothing is recommended. We recommend you wear shoes with a smooth sole that conforms well to your feet (leather or other hard composite material is preferred). No gym shoes or sandals as you will add unnecessary strain on your knees and inhibit your body from executing proper technique in many areas of the dance. The optimal shoe for dancing are dedicated dance shoes. The majority have suede soles which offer minimized friction while not being excessively "slippery" on a hardwood floor. Ask us for our recommendation on purchasing dance shoes.
