Frequently asked questions

How long will it take me to learn how to dance well?

Once you begin taking dance lessons, you will have a better idea of the roadmap to reach your own personal dance goals. It can take as little as a couple of months or as long as a few years for you achieve your max level. Your commitment level and consistency will determine the pace at which you progress. On average, students progress from level 1 to level 2 in 8-10 weeks.

What if I don’t have a dance partner?

Not a problem! Having a dance partner is recommended but not needed. When partner dancing, all students meet, rotate and practice with one another as well as with the Instructor.

What’s the difference between 4 week courses and drop in classes?

4 week courses are a great way to kickstart the learning process. You will be with the same group of students for the duration of the course. There is a class curriculum with new moves introduced weekly. Drop in classes are a more flexible option for students who want to attend as their schedules allow.

What style of salsa do you teach?

All of our salsa group lessons are taught On2. Private lessons can be taught On1 or On2 per your request.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover & Debit cards.

What should I wear for class?

We recommend that you come in with fresh, clean clothes that are comfortable and do not restrict movement. Always wear deodorant and practice good hygiene. Opt for shoes with smooth soles that will allow easy turning. For the safety of others and in order to protect our floor, wet or muddy shoes are not permitted while dancing.

I've danced salsa before. What level of classes should I attend?

We recommend that all first time students attend one of our level 1 drop in classes. From there we will be able to determine the appropriate level for you.
